Whatever it is that brings you to Anaheim this summer — whether it’s visiting Disneyland®, soaking up the perpetual sunshine, or enjoying one of SoCal’s many beaches — you’ll find no shortage of things to see and do (and eat!).

Anaheim Packing District

This former Sunkist orange processing plant is now a major destination for foodies and one of the top Anaheim things to do. Best described as a vibrant, upscale food hall with more than 40 options, you’ll find every imaginable food at the Packing District. The two-story historic building is situated in the heart of downtown and also hosts frequent live music performances.

Food & Drink

Beyond the Packing District, Anaheim has an incredibly diverse foodie scene. You’ll find every type of cuisine under the sun here, plus a number of thriving craft breweries, many of which offer tours.

Catch a Game

Anaheim is home to two professional, championship-winning sports teams, the Angels (baseball) and the famous “Mighty” Ducks (hockey). While hockey season isn’t in the summer, you may be able to catch an Angels game if they’re in town during your visit. Even outside the ballpark, you’ll find plenty of team spirit in Anaheim restaurants, bars, and hotels near Angel Stadium.

Downtown Anaheim Farmers Market

Every Thursday all year-round, visitors and residents alike flock to the Downtown Anaheim Certified Farmers Market. Located at Center Street Promenade, the open-air farmers market features an excellent variety of fresh local produce, crafts, flowers, and artisanal goodies like small-batch cheese, spices, coffee, and fresh-baked treats. There’s also often live music and other entertainment.

Outdoor Activities

Conveniently located near both the Santa Ana Mountains and expansive sandy beaches, there are plenty of Anaheim things to do in The Great Outdoors. Best of all, many of them are totally free!

  • Hiking and walking trails – Local favorites include the family-friendly trails at Sycamore Park Trailhead, the loop trails around the lakes at Yorba Regional Park, and Carbon Canyon Regional Park, which has a hiking trail leading to the only grove of California coastal Redwoods in Orange County!
  • Beaches – There are many fantastic beaches near Anaheim, but for a unique option, head to Crystal Cove State Park, where you’ll find tide pools, hiking trails, and dense woods lining a ridge above the coastline. Other great local beaches include Dana Point and Huntington and Newport Beaches.
  • Golf – The mild SoCal weather makes golf a great idea any time of year, but especially in the summer. Whatever your experience level, there are several Anaheim golf courses to choose from.
