Visiting Disneyland® during the holidays gives families the experience of winter magic. We know that one of the best perks of going to this amazing amusement park during this time of year is being able to see the Disneyland® Christmas Fantasy Parade. It’s truly a highlight of the seasonal festivities, which run from November 11th, 2022 until January 8th, 2023. Below is all the information you need to know about this popular seasonal parade before you visit the parks this holiday season.

Location of the Parade

The Christmas Fantasy Parade takes place in Disneyland® Park. Many of your favorite Disney® characters are on display in winter-decorated floats all along Main Street U.S.A. near the entrance of the park. You shouldn’t miss it!

Time of the Parade Each Day

The good news is the parade runs twice per day so you have double the opportunity to witness this winter wonderland spectacular. The first showing starts at 3:30 PM and the other showtime is at 6:30 PM.

Length of the Parade

The parade lasts for 40 magical and enchanting minutes. Relax, unwind and enjoy all the spectacular floats with some seasonal holiday snacks.

Best Viewing Spots

The most popular viewing spots are all along Main Street U.S.A. This is a prime location to get a good view of every float, but these spots fill up fast so we recommend getting there at least a  half hour early to secure a spot. You can also find great viewing spots near “It’s a Small World Holiday” and the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Beloved Disney® Characters

Who can your little ones expect to see during this Christmas Fantasy Parade? More than likely one of their favorite Disney® characters will make an appearance. In the parade, Mickey and Minnie work alongside those mischievous chipmunks, Chip and Dale, to collect all the letters to give to Santa.

You can also expect to see favorite characters from “Frozen.” Anna, Elsa, and their snowman pal Olaf are ready to send your family the warmest of greetings. And that’s not all for princesses! Other popular Disney® princesses such as Aurora, Belle, and Jasmine arrive to dance the night away at the Candlelight Ball.

And what would Christmas be without our favorite toys? Buzz Lightyear and Woody arrive on a giant float made of wooden building blocks to spread some holiday cheer.

Reindeer, Toy Soldiers, and Gingerbreads Galore

With music and merriment afoot, the floats that pass by during the parade are awash in twinkling lights. You’ll see prancing reindeer, marching toy soldiers, and giant gingerbread all leading up to the big guy himself…Santa Claus!
