For SoCal hockey fans, there’s no better way to spend an evening than catching an Anaheim Ducks home game at the Honda Center. Whether you’re a die-hard supporter or just looking for an exciting night out, game day at the “Duck Pond” is a can’t-miss experience in Anaheim. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit.

What to Expect on Game Day

The atmosphere in the arena on game days is electric, and it starts several hours before the puck drop. Consider arriving at least one hour before the game to secure parking, grab a snack or drink, check out the fan shop, and simply soak up the energy.

Parking

Onsite options are extremely limited and fill up very quickly. You can purchase a parking spot in advance (onsite or nearby) through ParkWhiz, or ‘wing it’ (pun very much intended!) and look for parking nearby. Two of the best options are ARTIC (Anaheim Regional Transportation Center), just down the street, and Noble Ale Works, about a half-mile away and a 15-minute walk. As long as you buy a beer or something to eat, you’re welcome to park here for free and then walk over to the arena.

If you prefer to avoid traffic and parking hassles, you can also take rideshare directly from several hotels near Anaheim Ducks arena, or take advantage of the city’s excellent public transportation. Since the Camelot Inn and Suites is directly across from Disneyland®, several bus routes serve this area. Use the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Trip Planner to figure out the shortest route.

Wear Orange

Once you arrive at Honda Center, you’ll be met with a sea of orange—Ducks fans really show up to rally behind their team, literally and figuratively. Wear orange if you have any, or stop by the Team Store to pick up some new gear. If you really want to fit in, practice your best duck call beforehand. Several times during home games, the crowd is called upon for “quack attacks” to fire up the players.

Bag Policy

Any bags you bring into Honda Center, including clear bags, must be smaller than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches.

Places to Eat Near Honda Center

During the game itself, you can grab snacks from concession stands in the arena. Before or after the game, there are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

  • Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar: Casual American fare with a laid-back atmosphere and a great selection of craft beers
  • Sauced BBQ & Spirits: A go-to spot for hearty barbecue plates and Southern-style sides (try the Jalapeno Sweet Heat Slaw!)
  • King’s Fish House: Ideal for seafood lovers looking for fresh oysters, fish, and other ocean-inspired dishes
  • Prime Cut Café: Classic steakhouse with an excellent cocktail and food happy hour from 3-6:00 pm seven days a week
  • Aleppo’s Kitchen: Casual Mediterranean restaurant with a focus on authentic Syrian and Arabic dishes
  • Public Legacy: A lively spot with a mix of great drinks and modern pub fare such as smash burgers, wings, and craft sandwiches
