The Camelot Inn & Suites invites you to experience everything this Fall has to offer in Orange County. Aside from the Disneyland® Resort, there are many other kid-friendly activities near our property. Here are some of the best family-fun events to look forward to this fall in our sunny and beautiful county.

Apple Picking at Riley’s Apple Farm

Take a trip to Riley’s Apple Farm in Oak Glen for a fun apple picking experience. It’s about an hour’s drive away to a gorgeous farm that features a variety of activities, like tomahawk throwing, archery, and fresh cider making. There is also a snack bar with tasty treats such as chicken apple sausage, cider floats, and apple pie. After your family is done apple picking, don’t miss the gift shop to take home a souvenir from your trip. Riley’s Apple Farm starts apple picking season on Labor Day Weekend and is open on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Great Park Balloon Jack-O-Lantern

At Orange County’s Great Park there is a bit of Halloween that will bring a smile to everyone’s faces. “Jack”, a giant jack-o-lantern balloon, is a seasonal staple that draws in big crowds each year. This mammoth balloon, which is constructed with the help of a large crane every year, is on display until November 1st.

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

If “Jack” inspires you to make your own jack-o-lanterns, head over to Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch. This is one of the biggest pumpkin patches in Irvine, California. They have a ton of activities including a hay ride, corn maze, a petting zoo, and a u-pick vegetable garden. It’s a fun place to spend an afternoon overlooking acres of pumpkins. The season starts September 17th and runs through October 31st, Saturdays through Mondays from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

 Underwood Family Farms

Another farm on the list is the Underwood Family Farms. It has all kinds of activities for the fall season, including a Fall Harvest, a farmers’ market with artisan goodies, wagon rides, and an animal center with lots of furry friends. Don’t miss one of the five themed weekends starting October 1st and going until the end of the month. The farms are open every day from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

Spirit Away Halloween Attractions at Disneyland®

Of course, your trip to Orange County wouldn’t be complete without spending a little time at the Disneyland® Resort. That includes the Disneyland® Park, California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney® District. They have a variety of special Halloween-themed rides, events, and shows including the Oogie Boogie Bash and Mickey’s Trick or Treat. It’s a spooky good time that is age appropriate for even your littlest ghouls and goblins!
