Thanksgiving is definitely a time when crowds can be bigger than you may expect. There are all kinds of Thanksgiving treats and events that are special to this time of year at the park. Camelot Inn and Suites is more than happy to make sure that your trip is extra special. Let’s look at some tips and tools for anticipating the crowds this time of year so that you have the family fall getaway of your dreams.

See Expected Crowd Data From Undercover Tourist

This crowd calendar is a very helpful tool that provides a chart ranging from 1 to 10 based on historical crowd size. 1 to 3 is the lowest crowd, 4 to 6 the average crowd, and 7 to 10 is the highest crowd. It’s very easy to read and not only goes over the crowds at Disneyland® and Disney California Adventure Park®, but you can look at the data from other theme parks like Universal Studios.

Additionally, this chart is useful for a quick snapshot into some other details such as the typical temperature during that time of year, and an overview of special events that are occurring at each park.

Thanksgiving Is an Especially Busy Week at Disneyland®

Having a Disneyland® Thanksgiving is truly a magical experience. Keep in mind that it’s a busy week because the park has tons of Thanksgiving-inspired treats and activities to enjoy. There is special entertainment in the spirit of the season, fun foods, holiday decorations, and seasonal merchandise that you can only get during the Thanksgiving festivities.

The busiest days are usually the Friday and Saturday right after the Thursday Thanksgiving holiday. So this year in 2024, it will be November 29th and 30th. Many people leave on Sunday in order to get back home on Monday for work, so if you can extend your stay through the weekend, you’ll have fewer people at Disneyland® on Sunday and Monday. Here’s a great tip. Go on Thanksgiving. It’s actually the least busy day of the entire holiday week.

How to Make Disneyland® Easier With These Tools

There are so many things to do in Disneyland® Anaheim and you’ll want to make sure your family experiences everything. There are two different tools that will make Disneyland® much easier to explore with your family.

The Disney Genie Planning Tool is free to use. The purpose of this app is to help you plan out your rides and itinerary, so that you get to experience as much as possible. All you have to do is download the My Disney Experience App and choose your interests. It will all be planned out under your “My Day” section.

There is also the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which can help you save time in lines for rides. When you purchase this feature, it allows you to go to a ride or attraction at a specific time and wait in a much shorter line.

Have a Plan and Check Park’s Entertainment Calendar

These two different tools will help you have a better plan for all the family fun at Disneyland®. Also make sure you check out the park’s entertainment calendar, especially during the Thanksgiving holiday season. There are special events that only happen at this time of year that you won’t want to miss.

Don’t Miss Other Attractions Like This Popular One

There are other attractions that you’ll want to see. One of the most popular ones is the art classes at the Animation Academy. This is located at Hollywood Land in Disney California Adventure Park® and occurs every 30 minutes at the Disney Animation Building.
